Sports Premium

The Government has given every primary school funding to develop Physical Education and competitive sport.

In our school we are using this funding by:

  • Hiring an external sports coach to support the high-quality teaching of PE in school.
  • Utilising the Pennine Sports Partnership to provide all children with the opportunity to take part in both inter-school and intra-school sporting competitions. To also use PSP to improve school’s core services in PE and sport.
  • Gaining wider access to inter-school sporting competition through the booking of transport to events.

In this way, our children will gain new skills and experiences and teachers will learn new techniques and gain knowledge to aid them in teaching sport and PE.

The aim is higher quality lessons and improved learning and opportunities for all children.
