Chinese New Year

We had a lovely time celebrating the Chinese New Year - the year of the pig. Our Chinese children helped us to better understand the traditional cultures and traditions.

At Paddock SMSC takes place in four areas..........

At Paddock School we are fully committed to improving our students’ Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) mindfulness. The areas of SMSC are embedded into our Paddock Values and Expectations. We seek to equally support the students’ academic achievement alongside developing their broader character.

There are four specific areas to SMSC:

Spiritual- This encompasses our school value of being respectful of each other and our feelings. Students broaden their imagination and creativity whilst at Paddock alongside understanding other people’s beliefs and values.

Moral- At Paddock we always encourage students to recognise the difference between right and wrong, as well as understanding that negative actions have consequences. Students also spend time investigating ethical issues through the well balanced curriculum.

Social- Students adhere to the Values and Expectations of the school, participating in school activities beyond the school day as well taking part in work in the local community.

Cultural- Our students are inspired to accept, respect and celebrate diversity. They learn to appreciate difference and develop their understanding of different cultures in Paddock and beyond

Supporting Charities

At Paddock School, we find every opportunity to support charities such as; Macmillan Cancer Support, Breast Cancer Now and Children in Need. We have held coffee and cake events and dress-up days to raise money for these great charities!

Our Christingle for The Children's Society

Right across school, we all made wonderful Christingles to bring to a whole school assembly. We know that Christians use this opportunity to remember Jesus and celebrate his birth. At this busy time of year, we all took a moment to be thankful for everything that we have, thinking about how our God loves us. All the money that we have collected will be donated to The Children's Society.

Christmas Fair 2018

Our children and parents really enjoyed our Christmas Fair, where all the children created a product or game to make money for school funds. Thank you to all our parents and local community for your continued support.
