School Council visit Huddersfield Town Hall each year, together with the School Council from St John's School. This twinning event is one of the ways in which they can experience democracy in action
Our School Council is made up of 2 representatives from each Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 class, who are elected annually by the pupils in their class. Meetings are held monthly at lunchtimes and give children the opportunity to input to decisions about how the school works. Items for discussion may be taken back by individual representatives to their Class Councils.
School Council has been involved in several twinning events with St Johns Church of England School at Golcar, including visits to St Johns School, Huddersfield Town Hall and the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
