Use our Eligibility Tracker to see if your child is eligible to receive Pupil Premium funding....
The purpose of the funding is to ensure that these children and young people are not disadvantaged in school and to find ways to support them to do their best. Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit, but the aim is always to narrow the achievement gap between these students and their peers.
Schools are held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. Measures included in the performance tables capture the achievement of those deprived pupils covered by the Pupil Premium. Schools are also required to publish online information about how they have used the Premium to ensure that parents and others are made fully aware of the attainment of pupils covered by the Premium.
A premium is available for children whose parents are serving in the armed forces: this is currently £300. This is designed to address the emotional and social well-being of these pupils
